Arkansas Talent Group is Hiring a CFO (Construction) Near Little Rock, AR

Arkansas Talent Groups Executive Search is exclusively working with a large Construction Company in Little Rock to find their next CFO! This will be a strategic member of the Executive Leadership Team due to an upcoming retirement. They would like to start the search now so that the incoming CFO can spend some time with the exiting CFO before they officially retire. This is a prominent and established company that has been around for decades and is having record growth in multiple divisions- with a fun and energetic leadership team.
This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the operations, providing leadership in financial planning and analysis, and driving initiatives to support the company's growth objectives. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will collaborate closely with other members of the senior management team.
Duties would include:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's short-term and long-term goals, including revenue growth, cost management, and profitability enhancement
  • Provide leadership and guidance in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
  • Oversee Tax Planning with outside counsel for entities that are both cash basis and accrual
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, statements, and presentations for Executive Team and Owners
  • Oversee all accounting and finance operations for multiple entities and company consolidation
  • Oversee Cash Management both cash flow and projections; Cash Flow Statement for Financial reporting
  • Assess and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
  • Responsible for all aspects of Risk Management and Compliance including: large insurance renewals, OCIP Compliance, HR and IT Initiatives and regulations, and the 401k plan
  • Lead the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and optimize financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with other functional areas, including Operations, Sales, and Human Resources, to align financial objectives with overall business strategies
  • Provide strategic financial advice and support to the CEO and the Board of Directors
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Accounting / Finance, CPA highly preferred
  • 10 Years of Experience- preferably mixture of Public Accounting and Construction or Manufacturing
  • 3 years of experience in a high-level Controller or CFO seat with multi divisional accounting
  • Proven track record of success in a leadership capacity
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills; Strategic thinker with ability to execute
  • Strong Leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with FP&A, ERP Systems, and Business Intelligence Software
  • Extensive experience with Cash Management, Budgeting, Forecasting, and Consolidated Financials

Candidates MUST be in Arkansas. The Corporate Office is in Little Rock with a major Plant in South Arkansas, so must be willing to travel to South Arkansas often.
